Historical Background of the Cangshan Knives
Cangshan knives are the brainchild of Henry Liu, who founded the company in Yangjiang, China.
His first products were sold locally in China, but they soon caught on in Europe and North America as well. Today, Cangshan offers both Western-style knives and Japanese-style knives that are handcrafted by expert blacksmiths using premier materials.
Henry Liu’s goal was to create kitchen tools that were both functional and beautiful—and he has succeeded! All Cangshan knives undergo several rounds of testing before being approved for sale, ensuring their quality and durability.
They have been awarded many awards, including Red Dot Design Award, German Design Award, and Gourmet Retailer Editor’s Pick Awards.
How Are They Made?
Cangshan knives are made by skilled craftsmen who have been working in the industry for years now. They know how to make a knife look good and last long too.
In addition to that, Cangshan uses high-quality materials from Europe and Japan to make their knives. Their knives are made with German steel and Japanese steel—the same stuff you’d find in much more expensive brands. The handles on these knives are ergonomically designed to provide maximum comfort while holding them firmly in your hands without slipping off at any point during your day-to-day activities with them around!
And if you’re looking for something with a little bit of flair, they’ve got some fun colors to choose from too!

Affordability is what sets Cangshan apart. When you want a knife that’s as good as the ones that cost twice as much, you need to look no further than Cangshan knives.
But don’t think that means they’re just cheap knockoffs! Cangshan knives are just as durable as any other brand on the market, but they cost less than half of what some other brands charge for their knives.

I have four stake knives from the L-series and love them but want more. Where can I buy? I bought the whole set from Costco and I was pleasantly surprised! Just want more knives.
I have the L series that are 11 months old. I have 5 handles that have cracked where the copper mosaic rivet is imbedded. Two are steak knives I have used maybe at most 4 times and have kept them in the covers that came with them. I had the rocking santoku knife replaced, but just this week I noticed 2 steak knives, pairing knife, and serrated knife are having the same issue. The knives have never been dropped and are washed and dried and put away. I am sorry chose this model. I like the knives, but am not happy about the problem with the handles.
